It all started when Sophie went out in search of a pool and something fun for a 21 year old to do. It was COVID, in college, and options were extremely limited. Fortunately, a few friends were staying at nearby house close to the campus, so Sophie ventured there to get some sun, pool time, and have a nice beverage (or two). It was there, while laying out on a chaise lounge and absolutely smothered in sunscreen, she met Andrew.

From the first conversation, Andrew and Sophie immediately “got” each other, and were frankly shocked that they had never met on the small-but-mighty Eckerd College campus that boasted of barely 2,000 students. They could tell that that had something special and that something special turned into a proposal in the Smoky Mountains just three and half years later.

Now, they are taking the next step in their journey- marriage!
