If you’re flying into Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) for the wedding, here are a few tips to help your arrival go smoothly and stress-free.
Rideshare (Uber/Lyft): Available on the lower level outside baggage claim. Wait times are usually short.
Taxis: There’s a flat rate of $36 to downtown New Orleans for up to two passengers ($15/person for 3+ passengers).
Hotel Shuttles: Check with your hotel to see if they offer shuttle service from MSY.
Car Rentals: Located in a separate facility, accessible via a short walk or shuttle from the terminal.
We recommend planning to arrive at least a day before the wedding, if possible. This gives you time to settle in, explore the city, and avoid last-minute travel hiccups. If you're flying out after the wedding, plan to get to the airport 2 hours before your flight (especially during weekends or busy travel periods).

Guests arriving by car should be aware that paid parking is common throughout New Orleans, particularly in tourist-heavy areas such as the French Quarter, Downtown, and the Garden District. Many hotels offer valet or self-parking for an additional daily fee, so it's a good idea to check with your accommodations in advance.

Uber and Lyft are widely available throughout New Orleans and are a convenient way to get to and from the airport, hotels, and wedding events. Wait times are usually short, and rides within the city are affordable. Just be aware that prices may increase during peak times or festivals. When arriving at the airport (MSY), follow signs to the designated ride-share pickup area on the lower level outside baggage claim.

Streetcars offer an easy and budget-friendly way to explore the city. With four different lines, you'll find plenty of exciting stops along the way. Grab a one-day Jazzy Pass for just $3, download the RTA app, and start your adventure!
